A life to remember |

To Mark and family,
We are so sorry for your great loss of Alisa. Her love for justice, genuine kindness and love for people was as unique as her sweet smile & the light in her eyes, we’ll miss her. Alisa disciple me to love the Lord with all my heart and encouraged me to share the love of Christ with others in my early Christian walk. I really appreciated her encouragement and friendship. Her wedding gift to us, a deer figurine, still sits in my kitchen 30 years later. She was a dear friend and we loved her too. We are praying that your family and friends will be of some comfort to you and may God give you peace and strength to heal over such a tremendous loss.

To Alisa's family,
Donna and I met Alisa, her husband, mother and friends at the Nikkei Centre fundraising dinner in early June for the first time as her guests. Although this was my first face to face encounter with Alisa, I got to know her as a result of working together on an advocacy issue in the fall of 2006. Through our telephone conversations and e-mail exchanges I quickly found out that I was working alongside a person who fought tirelessly for righteousness and justice.
I am so glad that my wife and I accepted her very generous offer to join her and her other guests for dinner in early June. It was my chance to meet this very gifted and special person who inspired me to do the right thing last fall.
Please accept our deepest condolences.

Words can never replace the loss that you are feeling at this time. We know that you will be surrounded by family and friends who will support and help get you through the upcoming months. Rely on your fondest memories of Alisa to help put a smile on your face and to lighten your heart during what may seem like your darkest times. Please know that Alisa etched a place in our hearts as well and she will be missed so very much. Alisa knew how to put herself in our shoes when we came to her with a problem and she very often shared similiar life experiences with us which helped to gain our trust early on in our relationship. Alisa's unconditional friendship, her many talents and her ways have touched more people than you can ever know. Our deepest condolences to all.

To Alisa's loved ones,
I send to you my deepest condolences. I knew Alisa through her involvement with The Centrepiece Swing Ensemble, and I know that I speak for all the other singers when I say that we all loved working with her. Singing was one of her greatest loves and she showed it constantly... through her dedication to music, her willingness to help out other singers, and her poise and sense of style when she performed a song. She will be so greatly missed by everyone who knew her and had the priviledge of making music with her.
Sincerely,
Dale Rasmussen
