We have created this website to celebrate the life of our dearest friend Alisa Noda.
A Celebration of Life for Alisa will take place from 3:00-6:00pm on Sunday, July 15 at the Nikkei Centre, 6688 Southoaks Crescent, Burnaby. This will be an opportunity for everyone to share stories, memories and our love of Alisa. Casual attire will be appropriate. If you are planning on attending please contact us at nodalife@telus.net so we know how many people to plan for.
A private funeral was held this Sunday.
As many of you know, Alisa passed away on July 3 in Victoria General Hospital. She was surrounded by loving family and friends when she took her last breath. The day before, she was on Mayne Island with Mark where they had spent the day doing all the things that Alisa loved to do; hiking, sharing great food with friends, and walking the beaches with Mark and Juba. Mark said that she spent the entire day with a smile on her face. That night, she woke up, knew something was wrong, and in typical Alisa manner called 911 herself. By the time she was airlifted to Victoria she had slipped into a coma. She held on long enough to have her mother, sister, brothers and other family members at her side.
